The Northern Way on Preston's bustling Friargate puts on a weekly open mic every Tuesday from 8:30pm, showcasing the best musical talent in the city. It's a stylish, rum-and-cocktail-led bar in the heart of town — a relaxed spot to watch local performers or take a turn yourself. The pub also runs a Wednesday quiz and Thursday karaoke in Preston's first and only karaoke booth.
About The Northern Way Preston
The Northern Way is a stylish Amber Taverns bar in the heart of Preston's Friargate (79 Friargate, PR1 2ED), known for its rums, cocktails and an open, welcoming feel. It actively supports the city's musical talent, hosting a popular open-mic night every Tuesday alongside regular live-music events through the week. Performers get a house PA and the room takes both originals and covers. Beyond the music it is a year-round venue — cosy fires in winter, a rooftop terrace with outdoor TV and heated covered areas in summer, twelve TV screens for live sport, Preston's only karaoke booth, plus poker and quiz nights. Capacity is around 70, keeping gigs intimate.
