The Booking Flow

From signup to getting paid — six simple steps

Step 1

Create Your Profile

Sign up as an artist, venue, agent, or promoter. Add your details, media, pricing, and availability. Your profile is your storefront.

Step 2

Search & Discover

Browse artists by genre, location, and budget. Find venues by capacity and type. Filter, compare, and shortlist — all in one search.

Step 3

Send Booking Request

Found the right match? Send a booking request with your proposed date, fee, and requirements. Or apply to an open gig listing.

Step 4

Negotiate & Sign Contract

Discuss terms via direct messaging. Counter-offer if needed. Once agreed, a digital contract is auto-generated and e-signed by both parties.

Step 5

Pay Deposit via Stripe

The deposit is paid securely through Stripe and held by the platform. No cash on the night, no chasing invoices. Protected for both sides.

Step 6

Play the Gig & Get Paid

Show up, perform, and both parties confirm completion. Funds are released automatically to the performer's bank account via Stripe Connect.

What Makes GigXchange Different

Not a directory, not an agency — a proper booking platform

Peer-to-Peer

No middlemen, no gatekeepers. Artists and venues connect directly. Agents and promoters plug in when needed — but they're never required.

Digital Contracts

Every confirmed booking generates a digital contract. Both parties e-sign on the platform. Download as PDF anytime. No paperwork, no ambiguity.

Secure Payments

Deposits are held securely via Stripe Connect. Funds are only released when both parties confirm the gig is complete. Protected for everyone.

Real Reviews

Two-way verified reviews after every gig. Build a genuine reputation over time. Venues review artists, artists review venues — full transparency.

Gig Directory

Venues and promoters post open gig listings. Artists browse by city, genre, date, and fee. Apply with one click — no cold emails, no guesswork.

Emergency Cover

If an artist cancels, the emergency cover system instantly notifies matching artists in the area. The show goes on — and everyone is protected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Free to join and create a profile for all user types. We only charge a small platform fee when a booking is confirmed and paid — so you never pay unless a deal is done.
All payments go through Stripe Connect. When a booking is confirmed, the deposit is held securely by the platform. Once both parties mark the gig as complete, funds are released directly to the performer's bank account. No invoicing, no chasing.
No. GigXchange is built for direct connections. Artists can approach venues themselves, and venues can find artists without going through an agency. That said, agents are a first-class user type — if you have one, they can manage bookings on your behalf.
The platform has built-in dispute resolution and emergency cover. If an artist cancels, matching artists in the area are notified automatically. If a venue cancels after deposit, the dispute process ensures fair treatment. Deposits are held by the platform, not by either party.
All of them. Solo artists, duos, trios, full bands, DJs, classical ensembles — if you perform live music, you belong here. Jazz, rock, acoustic, electronic, folk, blues, pop, covers, originals — every genre is welcome.
Directories just list profiles. GigXchange handles the entire workflow: search, messaging, booking requests, counter-offers, digital contracts, secure payments, reviews, and dispute resolution. It's a complete booking platform, not a listing site.
