The Bear Club is a fiercely independent, 100-capacity grassroots music venue tucked away in Mill Yard off Guildford Street in Luton. Founded in 2014, it programmes jazz, blues, roots, Americana, folk and alternative music from Thursday to Sunday, alongside comedy nights, spoken word and a monthly jazz jam. Seating is armchairs, benches and small tables just a few feet from the musicians. It has been voted one of the top 25 jazz clubs in the world by All About Jazz.
