A laid-back bar by day, it becomes a 300-capacity gig room and late-night destination by night, with a strong focus on indie and alternative music — long regarded as the place to catch the next big thing before they break, and a regular home for touring tribute acts (Police, Metallica) and Scottish band tours. With over-14s admitted to many shows (under-16s accompanied), it's a key all-ages-friendly fixture of the north-east Scotland circuit.

The Night
Drummonds (Cafe Drummonds) is Aberdeen's long-standing Belmont Street alt-music venue, and its open mic runs monthly on the first Monday of the month, 9pm to midnight. Sign-ups open at 9pm on the night — just bring your instrument, a cable and your songs — a sound engineer and full equipment are provided. The night is acoustic/live only (no backing tracks) and free to play or watch.
