Frequently Asked Questions

Free to join, no monthly fees, no subscriptions. We only charge a small platform fee when a booking is confirmed and paid — so you never pay unless you're earning.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. When a booking is confirmed, the deposit is held safely until the gig is marked complete by both parties — then funds are released to the performer. No chasing invoices, no cash on the night.
Our emergency cover system automatically re-lists the slot and notifies matching artists in the area. Deposits are protected through our dispute resolution process, so nobody loses out unfairly.
Everything from pub gigs to festivals, weddings to corporate events, open mic nights to headline shows. All genres welcome — jazz, rock, acoustic, electronic, classical, folk, and everything in between. If it involves live music, it belongs here.
We take data protection seriously. The platform is GDPR compliant with 256-bit encryption. All card payments are handled by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified) — we never see or store your card details.
GigXchange is currently a UK-focused marketplace. Artists and venues need to be UK-based to list and book. International expansion is on our roadmap — watch this space.
