How account deletion works

The official way to permanently delete your GigXchange account and erase all your personal data — profile, messages, photos, audio, reviews and booking history — under your UK GDPR ‘right to be forgotten’. Delete in seconds inside the app, or request data erasure by email if you can no longer sign in. Nothing is removed for 28 days, so you stay in control and can undo it any time.

Sorry to see you go

We're sad to see you leave. If it's time to move on, here's exactly what gets removed, what we're legally required to keep, and how to change your mind within 28 days.

In-app

Delete in the app

Go to Settings → Delete Account. Your profile hides instantly and a 28-day grace period begins — sign back in any time to cancel.

Removed

What's removed

Your profile, photos, audio, videos, messages, notifications and connections — permanently deleted after the grace period. Chat files go too.

Retained

What we keep

Anonymised booking, payment and contract records for ~6 years (UK tax law), with your identity stripped. Detail in our Privacy Policy.

Request deletion by email

Uninstalled the app or can't sign in? Enter your account email and we'll send a one-time confirmation link — clicking it schedules deletion with the same 28-day grace period.

For your privacy, we never reveal whether an email is registered.
