The UK's peer-to-peer live music booking platform and marketplace. We connect 580 artists, venues, promoters, and booking agents across 67 UK cities — making it simple to search, book, and pay for live music.
I've been in live music since 2009, on stage and trying to get booked. I know the Instagram DM chases, the WhatsApp fee haggling, the deposits sent on nothing but a handshake. Ask anyone — a venue filling a Friday, a promoter building a lineup, an agent running a roster — it's the same scattered story, decades old.
GigXchange exists because I got tired of waiting for someone to fix it. Whether you play, run a room, book acts or put on events, you deserve to be found by the right people and to book properly, start to finish. No middlemen deciding who gets the gig. No gatekeepers. Just a level playing field where the right people meet.
Getting in Touch
No ticket queues, no support scripts — questions, bug reports and feature ideas all land in one inbox, and it's mine.
Built in the open — here's the road so far, and where it goes next. From first idea to a live UK-wide platform in under a year, with every step since steered by member feedback. The release notes carry the detail, most weeks.
Traditional booking relies on scattered emails, word-of-mouth, and spreadsheets. We built something better.

Our Principles
How we think a platform should work
Fair Visibility
No Hidden Algorithms
Every artist and venue gets equal visibility. We do not artificially boost, suppress, or rank anyone behind the scenes. Search results are based on filters you choose — genre, location, fee, availability — not on who pays more.
Fair Play
No Pay-to-Win
There are no promoted listings, featured spots, or paid visibility upgrades. Your presence on GigXchange is earned through your profile, your activity, and your reputation — not your wallet.
Earned
Merit-Based Discovery
The more you put in, the more you get out. Complete profiles, quick responses, verified credentials, and great reviews make you easier to find. Nobody is working against you.
Openness
Transparent by Default
Fees are published upfront. Reviews are two-way. Booking terms are visible to both sides. There are no hidden charges, no surprise commissions, and no small print.
Built in the UK, for the UK
Designed for the UK live music scene — from grassroots pubs and clubs to mid-size venues and festival stages. We understand the landscape, the culture, and the community that makes live music thrive across 67 UK cities.
GigXchange was founded by Naumaan, a UK guitarist since 2009 — covers, originals, writing, producing. He built GigXchange because the UK live music booking process was scattered across Instagram DMs, WhatsApp groups and bank transfers with nothing but a handshake, and decided to fix it himself. Contact: founder@gigxchange.app.
Traditional UK agencies typically take 15–30% commission, gatekeep access to venues, and depend on who-you-know networks. GigXchange is peer-to-peer: artists, venues, promoters and agents book directly, free to use with a 5% fee only for protected payments — no commission on your fee, no hidden algorithms, no pay-to-win visibility. See the full platform comparison for a side-by-side of GigXchange vs Encore, Alive Network and others.
Yes, currently UK-only. 580 members — 488 artists, 44 venues, plus agents and promoters — across 67 UK cities are live so far. All members must be UK-based to list and book. International expansion is on the roadmap but not dated.
Free to join, free to list, free to browse. The only charge is optional: a 5% protected-payment fee, where the deposit is held safely until the gig is done — settle privately and there is no charge at all. No monthly subscription, no listing fee.
Four user types: artists (bands, solo acts, DJs), venues (pubs, clubs, hotels, festivals), booking agents (representing rosters of artists), and promoters (organising events across venues). Every type gets tailored features but shares the same booking, contract, messaging and payment flow.
GigXchange Member Spotlight is the platform’s editorial series — a fortnightly long-form interview with one UK artist, venue, agent or promoter. Each member walks away with a 1,500-word piece at their own URL, an A4 press-kit PDF, a 1200×630 OG share card and a Spotlight badge they can use anywhere. Free, members only, no paid placement. Worth £400+ at PR-agency rates.
All payments go through Stripe. When a booking is confirmed, the deposit is held securely by the platform. Funds are released automatically to the performer 5 days after the gig date. No chasing invoices, no cash on the night, full audit trail. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — GigXchange never sees or stores card data.
