The Lemon Tree is one of Aberdeen's best-loved live music and arts venues, sitting just behind Marischal College on West North Street (AB24 5AT) and run by Aberdeen Performing Arts. Opened in 1992 as the home of Aberdeen's Alternative Festival, it has two performance spaces: the 550-capacity Lounge for standing gigs (just under 300 seated) and the more intimate 166-seat Studio. It brings cutting-edge music, theatre, comedy and dance to the city, hosting touring bands, emerging local acts, folk, jazz and more in a professional, well-equipped setting.
