About Finnegan's Wake
Finnegan's Wake is a quintessential Irish pub and live-music and sport venue at 9b Victoria Street in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town (EH1 2HE). The intimate room (around 80 capacity) has a large, spacious dancefloor lit with green lights and is open seven days a week, with live music a near-nightly fixture — everything from traditional Irish tunes to acoustic covers, with regular performers such as the Jordan Murray Duo and John Dunleavey. It welcomes both originals and covers, has a PA and guitar amp on hand, and runs late (open until 1am most nights). Popular too for rugby and Champions League on the screens, it's a buzzing, dance-friendly spot for folk, trad and acoustic acts in central Edinburgh.
