The Hive is a 650-capacity, two-room music and dance club set in six of the famous underground vaults of Edinburgh's Old Town at 15-17 Niddry Street, just off the Royal Mile. Open since July 2007, it runs seven nights a week with two bars, a cocktail bar and two dancefloors, blending club nights, comedy and live music. The music policy is deliberately broad — pop and chart, indie and electro, rock and metal, drum and bass — with late licences running to 3am. Steps from Waverley, it's one of the Old Town's busiest late-night spots.
