The Night
The Lewes Road Inn runs a weekly acoustic Open Mic Showcase every Wednesday, 7:30pm to 10:30pm — an intimate, supportive session built around up-and-coming Brighton artists, with student drink specials to keep the room buzzing. It's a family- and dog-friendly pub with a proper events calendar (live bands on Saturday nights, a monthly Sunday blues jam), so the open mic sits in a genuinely musical home. Entry is free. About The Lewes Road Inn
The Lewes Road Inn is a large, community-focused live music pub at 158 Lewes Road, Brighton (BN2 3LF), part of the local Good Times Pubs & Bars group. It runs live music every weekend: a Wednesday open-mic night, live bands on Saturdays and monthly Sunday blues jams, plus DJs and events such as a monthly craft fair. The kitchen serves homemade Brighton pizzas, burgers and small plates with a kids' menu, and there's a big choice of pub games (pool, darts, toad in the hole, retro gaming), street-side seating and a rear beer garden — a welcoming, student-friendly grassroots room.
