Ye Olde King & Queen is one of Brighton's oldest pub sites, at 13-17 Marlborough Place (BN1 1UB), with origins around 1779 and the present striking Mock-Tudor building dating from the 1930s — half-timbering, steep roofs and prominent chimneys. A large, lively city-centre pub open seven days a week, it serves traditional British pub food and is woven into Brighton's social life. It frequently hosts live music bands and entertainment alongside sport on the big screens, quiz nights and karaoke. With around 100 standing capacity and a PA, it's a sizeable, characterful spot for covers bands and live entertainment in the heart of Brighton.
