About Stramash
Stramash is a high-energy live-music bar in a converted church on The Cowgate, in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. With a capacity of around 700, it stages live bands every single night of the week until 3am — a rotating bill of indie, rock, folk and covers, often with multiple bands per night, plus traditional Scottish ceilidh dances on Wednesdays and frequent tribute acts. Entry is typically free, and the venue boasts one of Edinburgh's largest HD screens for sport. Open Monday to Sunday, 5pm till 3am. Both originals and covers are welcome, with a full house PA.
