About Krakatoa
Krakatoa is a grassroots music venue and tiki dive bar at 2 Trinity Quay on Aberdeen's harbourside (AB11 5AA) — a site that has held a bar for almost 500 years, now named after the 1883 volcanic eruption. It runs a busy live calendar leaning into rock, metal, punk and funk: 2026 dates include The Funk Connection, XSLF, Electric Eel Shock, Lesbian Bed Death and Metallica Reloaded among others. With a PA in place and a welcoming attitude to both original bands and covers, it's a key fixture of Aberdeen's independent gig scene.
