About This Open Mic
The Night
The Yard is Coventry's number-one LGBTQ+ venue, right in the city centre, and every Monday night it hands the stage over to performers. Experienced gigging musician, first-time singer or a poet with something to say — all are welcome, and so is anyone who just wants to come and cheer. Free entry, lively and warm, with a regular run of cabaret, karaoke and other events alongside the open mic.
About The Yard
The Yard is Coventry's award-winning, much-loved LGBTQ+ venue, right in the city centre and open late seven days a week. Beyond the bar (100-plus specialty gins and a comfort-food menu of burgers, nachos, pizzas and loaded fries), it runs a rich weekly entertainment programme: live drag and cabaret, world-class guest DJs, plus a regular open-mic night, karaoke, quiz and games nights and guest PAs. A vibrant, inclusive room that platforms local performers as well as touring cabaret talent - safe and welcoming for everyone.
