About This Open Mic
The Night
The Maritime Inn is a traditional pub on Southside Street in the heart of Plymouth's historic Barbican, overlooking Sutton Harbour. Its open mic runs every Thursday from 8pm — free to come along, free to play, with a complimentary drink for performers. There's a house guitar always available, plus a house piano and drums on request, so you can travel light. All styles are welcome, from acoustic and folk to blues, jazz and the odd sea shanty.

The Maritime Inn is a traditional public house on the historic Barbican at 19 Southside Street, Plymouth (PL1 2LD, Devon), bridging the block down to the parade overlooking Sutton Harbour. It's a busy, characterful pub — beamed ceilings, stone-flag floor, a wood burner and a piano — offering regular live music in both the bar and lounge alongside sport, darts and poker evenings. A covered outdoor area on the Parade is popular year-round, and the bar pours its own Maritime Special plus guest ales. A welcoming grassroots room for Plymouth performers.
