Central Park is Plymouth's largest public park, a council-owned green space off Outland Road between Peverell and Milehouse, and the city's main outdoor concert ground. Its open fields take large-scale crowds and the elevated ground gives views across the city. The anchor event is Discovery Festival, held over three days each June: the 2026 edition ran 12 to 14 June with The Libertines, Five, Blue and The Wanted 2.0 among the acts, and 2027 dates are already on sale for 11 to 13 June. It is a festival and concert field rather than a permanent venue: there is no fixed stage, PA or year-round live-music programme, and staging is brought in for each event.
