About This Open Mic
The Night
The Hop is a lively 400-capacity live-music bar tucked into the Dark Arches at Granary Wharf, beneath Leeds City Station. Its open mic runs every Wednesday from 8pm — there's an in-house electro-acoustic guitar and electric piano you can use, or bring your own and plug straight into their excellent PA, with a free bottle of Coors Light for every performer. The rest of the week brings cover bands on Friday and Saturday and the Sunday Gathering's blues, folk and rock from 4pm.
About The Hop
The Hop Leeds sits in the famous Dark Arches beneath Leeds City railway station, spilling across two brick tunnels (Arches X & Y) within the Granary Wharf development off Dark Neville Street (LS1 4BR). An Ossett Brewery pub spread over two levels with a roughly 400 capacity, it serves real ales, pies and pizzas under exposed brickwork and music-inspired murals. Free live music runs through the week, with the headline being live cover bands every Saturday from 9pm (free entry) spanning blues, rock, soul, indie, funk and pop — favouring an intimate, close-contact 'unplugged' feel between artists and crowd.
