The Devonshire Tap House at 10 Devonshire Place in High Harrogate is an independent neighbourhood tavern — formerly the Devonshire Arms, trading under its current name since 2019. It retains plenty of character: an original semi-circular counter with a stained-glass canopy, wood flooring and a mix of benches and tables across several cosy drinking areas. Beer is the headline act, with up to 20 ever-rotating cask ales and craft beers from mostly Yorkshire breweries across eight handpumps, plus pizzas and light snacks (gluten-free and vegan options). Live music takes the stage on Wednesdays, giving local performers a regular slot for originals and covers across mixed genres in an intimate, bring-your-own setup.
