About This Open Mic
The Night
King Tut's Wah Wah Hut is Glasgow's most storied independent music venue — Oasis were famously signed here in 1993 — and its weekly open mic puts you on that same main stage. It runs every Saturday afternoon from 2pm to a 6pm curfew, hosted by 'Shakey' Sean Findlay, with sign-up from 2pm: just show up, add your name and play. It's free, all ages and all genres, and each session features an extended set from a guest act, so it's a brilliant low-pressure way to play a proper venue stage.

About King Tut's Wah Wah Hut
King Tut's Wah Wah Hut is one of Scotland's most famous grassroots venues, tucked away at 272a St Vincent Street in Glasgow's city centre (G2 5RL). Open since 1990 and with a 300-capacity room, it has been at the forefront of the Scottish live-music scene for over three decades — famously the spot where Oasis were signed in 1993. The venue runs a packed gig calendar (around 70 shows scheduled across 2026-2027) that showcases new and emerging bands alongside touring indie, rock and alternative acts. A full backline and an in-house sound engineer back every performance, and the venue welcomes both original artists and covers, making it a cornerstone of Glasgow's grassroots circuit.
