Bloc+ is an independent basement live-music bar at 117 Bath Street in Glasgow's city centre (G2 2SZ). It puts on excellent bands and DJs seven nights a week, completely free of charge — totting up around 500 bands a year, ranging from low-key acoustic sets to hip electro and skull-crushing heavy metal. The weekly Bloc+ Jam open-mic runs every Sunday from 9pm. By day the in-house 'Mad Chef' kitchen serves hot dogs, burgers, street food and vegan options; by night there's craft beer and drinks promos, with the bar open until 3am. With a full backline, PA and in-house engineer, the roughly 180-capacity room is one of the city's most generous grassroots stages.

About Bloc+

About This Open Mic
The Night
Bloc+ is an independent live-music basement bar on Bath Street with bands or DJs on every night, completely free. Its weekly open mic — the Bloc+ Jam, hosted by Jamie Stuart and friends — runs on Sundays, and it genuinely doesn't pigeonhole: turn up to play hushed acoustic songs or skull-crushing heavy metal and you'll be welcome either way. Full backline and a proper PA are on hand, entry's free, and performers get a drink for getting up. Five minutes from Buchanan Street Subway.
