The Night

The Devonshire Tap House is an independent neighbourhood tavern just off Devonshire Place in Harrogate, pouring around 20 rotating cask ales and craft beers. It runs an open mic on the first Wednesday of each month that adds real buzz to the place — there's a steady run of performance videos from the night online, covering music and the odd bit of stand-up. A relaxed, beer-led spot to try out a set.

About Devonshire Tap House

The Devonshire Tap House at 10 Devonshire Place in High Harrogate is an independent neighbourhood tavern — formerly the Devonshire Arms, trading under its current name since 2019. It retains plenty of character: an original semi-circular counter with a stained-glass canopy, wood flooring and a mix of benches and tables across several cosy drinking areas. Beer is the headline act, with up to 20 ever-rotating cask ales and craft beers from mostly Yorkshire breweries across eight handpumps, plus pizzas and light snacks (gluten-free and vegan options). Live music takes the stage on Wednesdays, giving local performers a regular slot for originals and covers across mixed genres in an intimate, bring-your-own setup. Extremely dog-friendly, with free bar-dog treats.
