The Blossoms is a Grade II-listed Robinsons Brewery pub on Buxton Road (the A6) in Heaviley, just south of Stockport town centre, and one of Greater Manchester's best-loved cask-ale 'beer shrines'. For musicians it runs a genuinely welcoming weekly open jam every Wednesday from 8pm — turn up, add your name to the list and take the stage, with a full house backline of guitars, bass, drums and mics already set up. A monthly Stockport Irish Session takes over on the third Thursday (8-10pm), and there's live music most Fridays. The pub keeps its period interior with photographs of the pub and the Robinsons Brewery through the decades. A grassroots-friendly room for acoustic, folk, rock and traditional players in the SK2 6NU corner of Stockport.
