About The Fulford Arms
The Fulford Arms is a 150-capacity grassroots music venue on Fulford Road, a short walk beyond York's city walls, proud to host an incredible array of live events with both local and touring artists from all over the world. A single-roomed pub with a good selection of real ales, it runs a packed gig calendar leaning into rock, alternative and tribute acts, with most shows standing-only and 16+. Doors typically open at 7:30pm, and it asks audiences to respect its residential neighbours on the way home.
Planning Your Tuesday Night
Arrive by 19:30 to sign up for a slot. Entry is free and the open mic typically runs until 23:00. Full backline is provided — just bring your instrument and pedals.
What should you charge for paid gigs? Most open mic musicians are ready for paid work sooner than they think. Check live UK rates by role, city, and venue size.
