Where Agents Book DJs

GIGXCHANGE is where UK DJs and their booking agents book sets direct. 982 artists are on the platform, DJs among them, and 70 venues across 79 cities list what they host. A DJ agent lists each DJ with their mixes, set lengths and kit, pitches bars, party bookers and wedding venues in the chat, and signs a contract on every booking. GigXchange takes 0% of the artist's booking fee.

DJ work is booked fast and often late: a birthday next month, a bar that needs a Friday cover, a wedding evening that wants someone for after the band. Most DJ agencies handle it by phone and message, and the details that cause the arguments - finish time, who brings the lights, the playlist - live in someone’s memory.

The best DJ agents are the ones who get those details right every time, because a party booker remembers the night the music stopped at eleven.

On GigXchange every set is agreed in writing before it is played: the hours, the kit, the fee and the music, in a contract both sides sign. Bookers hear the DJ’s mixes on the profile before they ask, which turns enquiries into bookings, and if a DJ falls ill GX Gig Rescue sends an urgent invite to available acts near the venue.

02 — The steps

5 steps

How it works

Step 01Build the rosterAn agent adds each act they represent to one account - line-up, sound, audio and video, fee range - so every pitch starts from a complete profile.
Step 02Find the right roomsSearch venues by city, size and what they book, and see the dates they have posted. Acts without an agent use the same search.
Step 03Pitch and agree in the chatMessage the booker direct, settle the date, fee, sets and kit, and the offer lands in the same thread.
Step 04Sign the contractEvery booking makes a digital performance agreement, signed by both sides, with a full audit trail.
Step 05Get paidGigXchange takes 0% of the artist's booking fee. Agent-brokered bookings settle directly between the parties for now - every date is still a signed contract.
If plans changeAn act drops outGX Gig Rescue sends an urgent invite to available acts near the venue - the first to accept is booked.
