The Night
The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton runs a free open mic every Wednesday from 8pm till around 11pm, hosted by Ross Connor and Danny Thomas. It's a warm, all-abilities crowd — mostly acoustic solo singer-songwriters but genuinely open to poets and comedians too, so bring whatever you've got. Just sign up on the night, entry is completely free, and performers get a free drink for playing. One of Milton Keynes' best-loved independent live-music pubs.
About The Craufurd Arms
The Craufurd Arms is one of Milton Keynes' best-known independent live-music venues, in the historic area of Wolverton (59 Stratford Road, MK12 5LT, around a 10-minute walk from Wolverton station). It combines a classic pub with a dedicated 275-capacity live room, earning a national reputation for intimate gigs and a strong commitment to up-and-coming artists alongside established touring acts — a go-to for rock, metal, punk, indie and alternative. Open-mic nights are mainly acoustic but open to anyone from poetry to comedy, and the venue also runs DJ nights, silent discos and themed events. It was among the venues backed by Milton Keynes City Council's 2026 grassroots-music investment, running live showcases for local bands with professional recordings. PA, stage lighting and a friendly team complete the setup.
