The Night
The Chindit is a historic two-room CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub on Merridale Road in Wolverhampton, and its open mic runs every Sunday from 8pm to 11pm — a relaxed acoustic/electro-acoustic session and free to play. The pub also packs in plenty more music: live bands on Fridays, monthly Irish sessions and a folk night, so it's a properly music-friendly local.

About The Chindit Inn
The Chindit Inn is a characterful two-room real-ale pub at 113 Merridale Road in Wolverhampton (WV3 9SE), said to be the only pub in the country named after Major General Orde Wingate's WWII Chindit special-forces unit. Cask Marque accredited for 14 consecutive years and serving up to seven changing nationally and locally sourced ales, it packs a busy grassroots music calendar into its small lounge and bar: live music every Friday at 9pm, an open-mic night every Sunday at 8pm, Irish traditional music on the first Wednesday of the month (7:30pm) and a folk night on the fourth Thursday (7:30pm), plus a monthly comedy club. There's a PA in place, an enclosed terraced garden, and the pub is dog- and family-friendly (until 7pm). It welcomes both original material and covers across folk, blues, acoustic and Irish trad.
