The Night
The Beehive is a much-loved independent pub on Prospect Hill, a proper Swindon institution for live music, poker and good ale. Every Tuesday from 8:30pm it hosts an open-mic Acoustic Jam Session where local talent takes centre stage — acoustic and unplugged in feel, relaxed and welcoming, the kind of night where regulars and first-timers swap songs. Free to get up and play; turn up, put your name down and join in.
About The Beehive
The Beehive is a characterful 1871 multi-level, four-room pub at 55 Prospect Hill in Swindon, tucked behind the former Swindon College within yards of the Regent Circus development. It keeps its quirky charm and layout, serving up to six real ales plus a craft range, with walls always covered in art for sale. It's a well-loved grassroots live-music venue, hosting regular performances on most Thursday and Friday nights, an 'ooohbeehive' open-mic session, supported spoken-word events, and a monthly world-music club, plus quiz and poetry evenings. A PA is in place and the music policy is mixed — acoustic, folk, world and spoken word — welcoming both originals and covers from Swindon's local performers.
