The Queens Tap is an epic town-centre pub right across from Swindon train station (74 Station Road, SN1 1DG) and, dating to 1841, one of the oldest surviving pubs in the area. Billed as "A Mighty Local", it's a sports-and-music venue with live music on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, a rotating selection of mostly regional real ales, traditional pub games (darts and pool), big-screen sport, a summer garden with an outside bar and disabled access. A reliable small-room (around 100 capacity) stop for live bands in central Swindon.
