Avant Garde is a family-run music bar and restaurant in the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City on King Street, serving guests since 2012. It pairs a Mediterranean menu — fresh seafood, steaks and vegetarian dishes — with a packed live-music calendar across a room that holds around 306, plus a 60-capacity function suite. The bar is home to Merchant City jazz, a lively traditional ceilidh every Saturday night, and a Wednesday open mic that welcomes emerging local performers.
