The Night
6 Barrels is a friendly craft ale and cider micropub on Salisbury Road in Totton, on the western edge of Southampton near the New Forest. Its open mic runs on the first and last Thursday of each month, kicking off around 7:30pm, free to watch and play, with live music also a regular fixture on Saturday evenings. It's a small, real-ale-led room — a relaxed spot for acoustic acts rather than a big stage setup.
About 6 Barrels
6 Barrels is a community micropub in a small shopping precinct in Totton, on the edge of the New Forest near Southampton (SO40 3HX). It's a one-room CAMRA-listed ale and cider bar with four handpumps mainly serving local and regional ales plus keg beers, ciders and perries. Live music plays on Saturday evenings and there are open-mic nights on the first and last Thursdays of every month, with a covered pavement seating area out front. No kitchen on site — food can be brought in from nearby. A genuinely grassroots, regulars-friendly spot for acoustic performers.
