Where Couples Book Wedding Music

GIGXCHANGE is where UK couples book live music for their wedding direct. 982 artists are on the platform, from solo singers and string players to full wedding bands and DJs. A couple hears each act before asking, agrees the times and the songs in the chat, and every booking comes with a contract. On the live GX Index a wedding duo is typically £541 (189 fees) and a 3 to 4 piece wedding band £1,000 (1,615 fees). The booking fee is 5% on top only when you pay through GigXchange – 0% when you settle privately.

Most couples book wedding music the same way: a friend of a friend, a band from a wedding fair, or whoever the venue recommends. Then come the questions nobody warned them about - should there be music in the ceremony, who plays during the drinks, does the band do a first dance, and what happens if the singer is ill on the day.

The day has four musical moments, and they need different acts: something gentle for the ceremony, something easy for the drinks, background for the meal, and a dancefloor for the evening. Booking one act for everything rarely works, and booking four separately is hard work.

On GigXchange you can plan all four in one place. Hear every act before you ask, agree the songs, the times and the sound kit in writing, and keep every booking together. The live GX Index shows what weddings actually pay, and if an act drops out, GX Gig Rescue sends an urgent invite to available acts nearby.
