Fuel Café Bar is Withington's long-running vegetarian café bar and grassroots live-music venue at 448 Wilmslow Road, south Manchester (M20 3BW). Open from late morning until late every day, it serves affordable veggie food, craft and local ales and German imports, with a superb upstairs function room that hosts regular gigs and open-mic nights — usually folk and acoustic, often free entry. Its fortnightly Monday 'BOOM @ FUEL' open mic champions music of black origin, spanning soca, jazz, blues, rap, reggae, afrobeats, R&B and spoken word.
