New Century is an iconic restored 1960s hall and food hall in Manchester's NOMA district, at 34 Hanover Street (M4 4AH). Its first-floor New Century Hall is a legendary live-music and multi-use cultural space holding up to 1,300 standing or 600 seated, with full professional PA, lighting and in-house technical crew. Reopened in 2022 after a major restoration, it hosts touring indie, rock, electronic, pop and alternative acts as well as comedy, club nights and cultural events, sitting above a permanent street-food hall and bars. In autumn 2025 the operators added 'Locker', a new 450-capacity room on the ground floor, giving the building two distinct stages. It's a fully equipped, professionally run venue — the original record's bring-your-own-PA description is incorrect.
