Hallé St Peter's is the home rehearsal and recording base of the Hallé orchestra, a Grade II listed Gothic Revival former church in Ancoats at the heart of Manchester. The restored nave (St Peter's hall) seats up to around 250, with the adjoining Victoria Wood Hall taking another 100, and the building flexes from roughly 80 to 230 for events. Alongside the Hallé's own concerts it hosts a broad programme of music — from classical and choral to one-off experimental and electronic bills (recent visitors include The Utopia Strong) — plus theatre, fringe shows and private functions. Fully accessible on the ground floor with ramp access. Atmospheric historic interior, a flagship of the regenerated Ancoats cultural quarter.
