Gorilla is a long-running live-music bar and grill set under the railway arches at 54-56 Whitworth Street, Manchester (M1 5WW), in the Oxford Road corridor. Opened in 2012, the industrial-chic space pairs a gin parlour and retro dining room with a music hall known for terrific acoustics and a state-of-the-art house sound system. It programmes an eclectic mix - indie, rock, grime, soul, R&B and club nights - with doors typically at 7pm, and has hosted breaking and major acts including Tame Impala, The 1975, Sam Smith and Ward Thomas. With full in-house production it is a fully equipped touring-grade venue, not a bring-your-own-PA room.
