About Downstairs at Sucre

Downstairs at Sucre is a grassroots music venue in Soho, London. It books Jazz, Soul, Funk; originals and covers are both welcome.

Listing notes

Downstairs ‌‌‍at Sucre is the intimate cocktail bar and lounge beneath Sucre, the Latin-inspired restaurant on Great Marlborough Street. It opens Thursday to Saturday into the early hours, with a rotating programme of live music and DJs. The standout night for players is "Tonic", a free jazz, soul and funk jam hosted by the Jazz - Soul - Funk Collective on the second and last Thursday of each month (around 8:30-11:30pm). Instrumentalists and singers are invited to sit in. It's a lounge rather than a gig room - seating is first come, first served - so it suits jazz, soul and acoustic sets that sit well with a cocktail crowd.
