The Creaky Floorboard is a characterful micropub at 179 Kedleston Road, Derby (DE22 1FT), opened in December 2018 in a former guest house at the end of a terrace, complete with bare-brick walls, original Minton tiles, a beer garden and a rotating selection of real ales and ciders. It's over-18s only and dog-friendly. On the music side it hosts live music every Tuesday — an open-mic night run by host Henry John from 7:30pm onwards, very relaxed with no fixed slots (just turn up, though you can ring ahead to book). Amps and mics are provided, so acoustic and covers performers can simply plug in. A friendly grassroots spot welcoming both original and covers material.
