Number 28 is a community-led, not-for-profit arts and events venue in the heart of Belper, Derbyshire, at 28 Market Place — a former 1930s Salvation Army hall now run as a Community Interest Company. It hosts live music, theatre, comedy, workshops, exhibitions and community gatherings, and is a regular home for the Belper Jazz Company, whose Sunday concerts (Greg Abate, Alex Clarke, Remi Harris and others) turn the hall into an intimate jazz-club setting where you can bring your own drinks. A genuinely grassroots, volunteer-spirited space supporting local creative groups.
