About Matlock Bath Pavilion
Matlock Bath Pavilion is a grassroots music venue in Town Centre, Matlock with a standing capacity of approximately 320. Bring your own PA, mics and instruments.
Matlock Bath Pavilion books Folk, Rock, Acoustic, Blues acts. Both original music and covers are welcome. This listing is part of the Matlock venue directory.
The Grand Pavilion at Matlock Bath is an arts and entertainment venue on South Parade, and its Grand Hall is the only room in the Derbyshire Dales that can take an audience of over 300 — capacity is 320, with a proscenium stage, four backstage dressing rooms, an integrated bar, basic AV and lighting equipment, and multiple seating configurations. The programme covers comedy, dance, theatre, live music, touring shows, markets and workshops, with bills leaning folk, rock, acoustic and blues. Two smaller rooms, the Nuttall and the Grey, hold 40 each for more intimate nights, and the Restoration Café is fully licensed and can act as a second bar. Two honest caveats for touring acts: the Grand Hall is on the first floor with stairwell access only and no lift, and it remains un-refurbished with no central heating at present.
