The Night

The Griffin Inn on Monmouth Street is one of Bath's oldest pubs — a 300-year-old Grade II listed Georgian inn — and it does put on live music, but from booked acts on Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm rather than a performer open mic. We couldn't find any evidence of a recurring open mic here, so this isn't currently a venue to turn up to for a slot.

About The Griffin Inn

The Griffin Inn is a Grade II listed Georgian pub-with-rooms on Monmouth Street in the heart of Bath city centre, established in 1730 and recently refurbished. It pours Bath Ales on tap alongside a hand-picked wine list, high-end spirits and craft cocktails, runs a small daily-changing food menu and a Sunday roast, and lets eight individually-styled guest rooms upstairs. Crucially for performers, it is an award-winning events venue presenting comedy, live music and cinema, with an intimate room holding around 70. There is a house PA on site, and the venue welcomes both original acts and covers. Voted #1 in Love Bath's 10 best pubs in Bath 2023, it is a characterful, well-run Bath stage for grassroots gigs.
