About This Open Mic
The Night
The Earl of Beaconsfield is a much-loved Mill Road music pub that reopened in early 2026 after a long closure and a major refurbishment, bringing its live programme back with it. Its weekly open mic — 'The Beaky Plugged In', hosted by Harri Beasley — runs on Thursday evenings, with sign-up from 7:45 and a friendly, supportive crowd. There's a house guitar, cajon and keyboard available on request, so you can travel light.

About Earls of Beaconsfield
The Earl of Beaconsfield is a thriving community pub and live-music venue at 133 Mill Road in the Romsey district of Cambridge. It pours a Cask Marque range of real ales alongside lagers, draught ciders and wines, and has built a reputation as one of the best places for live music in the city, with music four nights a week. The regular programme includes a blues jam night, an acoustic jam night and a host slot on Saturday nights where musicians get up and play. It's a child- and dog-friendly pub with stone-baked pizzas, a bar-billiards room, a swap library, a sun-trap beer garden and Sky TV for the football crowd. The relaxed, community-driven feel makes it an easy, welcoming room for Cambridge folk, blues and acoustic players.
