The Tram Depot is a characterful central Cambridge bar at 5 Dover Street (CB1 1DY), set in the former stables of the 1880s horse-drawn Cambridge Street Tramways — there's still a section of original track by the door and a life-size model tram out front. It pours 12 keg taps, 6 cask ales and 3 ciders alongside homemade specials and Italian pizzas. Live music runs every Thursday from 8pm, headlined by The Tram Sessions open mic (5–6 floor spots of three songs plus a booked headliner around 10pm), and the wider programme takes in a monthly folk night, a weekly speakeasy jazz jam, reggae and Latino nights. A house PA is provided and both originals and covers are welcome.

About The Tram Depot

About This Open Mic
The Night
The Tram Sessions is the Tram Depot's monthly open mic, held on the last Thursday at this historic city-centre bar on Dover Street. Get there for 7pm to put your name down — there are 5-6 floor spots of three songs each, then a booked headliner from the local folk scene takes the stage around 10pm. A sound system and a piano are provided; bring any other instruments yourself. It pulls Cambridge's finest acoustic talent, it's free to come down and play, and the night runs 7pm til 11pm.
