Norwich's live music spreads from the city centre arts centre and St Benedicts Street bars to the Waterfront by the Wensum, Epic Studios on Magdalen Street and the UEA campus hall.
In the year to July 2025, 78 UK grassroots venues stopped putting on live music and 30 closed outright, while pubs shut at about two a day in early 2026. Each one was somewhere a band played its first paid gig or a songwriter tried a new song on a room of strangers.
