B2 is the dedicated grassroots live room at The Brickmakers on Sprowston Road in Norwich, the long-running music pub established on the local scene in 2003 by musicians Pam South, Emma Rose and Charley South. While the Brickmakers' main stage (capacity 300) showcases a diverse touring and local programme, B2 (capacity 200) is the hub for up-and-coming acts from across the country — mostly metal and rock, but also pop, punk and folk. Run by people who know exactly what bands need from a venue, it remains one of Norfolk's most important grassroots stages and is firmly committed to keeping live music going through 2026 and beyond.

The Night
The Brickmakers is one of Norwich's busiest grassroots music pubs, running live music almost every night across two stages. Its open mic falls on the second and last Thursday of each month from 7.30pm, hosted by the much-loved Peter Turrell, with a featured act most weeks. No booking — just turn up, pop your name down and play two or three songs; all abilities welcome, and comedians and poets too. Free to perform.
