The Cellar Verified
Oxford's legendary underground music venue, open since 1999. The Cellar sits beneath Cornmarket Street in the centre of town — a low-ceilinged, sweat-dripping basement that has launched more bands than anywhere else in Oxfordshire. Punk, indie, post-punk, noise, hardcore, and everything in between. Three gig nights a week plus a monthly "New Blood" showcase for unsigned Oxford acts. No frills, no door policy, no ego — just loud music in a small room. 150 standing capacity, house PA, and a stage that puts the band about two feet from the front row. Five minutes from Oxford station and directly above the covered market.
