About The Pembury Tavern

The Pembury Tavern is a grassroots music venue in Hackney, London with a standing capacity of approximately 150. PA system and vocal mics are provided; bring your own instruments and amps.

This listing is part of the London venue directory.

The ‌‌‍Pembury Tavern is a historic corner pub (established 1856) on the five-way junction of Amhurst Road, Dalston Lane and Pembury Road, where Hackney Central meets Hackney Downs, east London (90 Amhurst Road, E8 1JH). Since 2018 it has been run by local Hackney brewery The Five Points Brewing Company, with hardwood floors, bar billiards, two guest ales, 16 keg lines and ACE Pizza's New-York-style Neapolitan pizzas served daily. Its regular programme centres on a Monday quiz, a monthly comedy night, charity fundraisers and tap takeovers rather than a standing live-music or open-mic night.
