Norton Cricket Club at 74 Station Road in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees is a classic sports and social club, and its Moline Cross function room is the long-standing home of Stockton Folk Club.
The club meets most Monday evenings. A typical night begins at around 7.30pm, singing starts at about 8pm and the evening aims to finish at 10.30pm. Entry is £2 for singarounds, rising to £6 on guest nights. It is a true singaround - everyone in the room is encouraged to sing, play or recite, and listeners are just as welcome.
The room is wheelchair accessible and the atmosphere is warm and unhurried, with a repertoire spanning traditional folk, acoustic songs and spoken pieces.
