The Forum Music Centre is Darlington's dedicated home of live music — a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society tucked behind the Civic Theatre on Borough Road, just two minutes' walk from the railway station and town centre. The live performance room holds up to 200 standing or 120 seated, and the building also houses five fully equipped band rehearsal rooms, a digital recording studio and a licensed cafe-bar. The programme spans rock, indie, folk and alternative, alongside tribute acts, the long-established Darlington Rhythm and Blues Club, Hilarity Bites Comedy Club and a weekly film club. The Forum Music School delivers instrument and vocal tuition plus regular workshops, with programmes that actively support the development and creation of new music — making it a genuine grassroots engine for emerging Tees Valley talent.
