Billingham Catholic Club is a long-established social club at 37 Wolviston Road in Billingham, near Stockton-on-Tees. Behind the club bar it keeps one of Teesside's busiest grassroots music calendars.
The Vatican Buskers open mic runs on the first to fourth Thursday of every month from 8pm and is free. It is walk-in, with one house quirk - take your own mic. On months with a fifth Thursday the slot becomes a blues night instead.
The club also hosts Acoustic Sundays, a fortnightly singaround from 2pm, so there is an open stage here most weeks for singers and players of any standard.
